People and peanut butter have a lot in common. Just like people, there are all sorts of peanut butter varieties. Not only is there the classic distinction of creamy versus chunky, but there are all sorts of brands. Like people, there’s plain and there’s salty, but I’m still talking about peanut butter. There’s generic and name brand, but there’s also gourmet. Yes, there are even gourmet varieties of peanut butter. There are powdered do-it-yourself varieties that require a little more work on your part and there’s all-natural organic peanut butter.
There is a lot of variety to be found in even something as simple as peanut butter. And, since we all also have our own personal preferences this variety is a good thing. Get the peanut butter you want and be happy. Pretty simple, right? Just get the peanut butter you want and be happy. Get the “best” peanut butter and get great results. But, it’s not that simple.
Sometimes we can’t help but take something simple, complicate it and ruin a good thing. This is where people are like peanut butter. You see, no matter how perfect you think the peanut butter you have is, you can only make so many sandwiches from a jar. I don’t know how many sandwiches you can get, on average, from a single jar, but I do know that even the best peanut butter isn’t going to be very good if you try to make too many sandwiches from that lone jar. It’s pretty obvious that when spread too thinly, the peanut butter, regardless of the quality, isn’t that good. As a matter of fact, get it thin enough and it doesn’t matter in the slightest what variety of peanut butter you started with. People and peanut butter have a lot in common.
